You can add a new Activity in many places in OSL.
Tasks menu > New Activity or directly in a Listing, a Sale or while editing a Contact.

New Activity
Activity due date
The most important information for a an Activity is the Date or Due date
This is the due date for your Activity/Task to be completed, or the date that you carried out your Activity.
If you add a Time to your Activity it will automatically become Appointment and show on your Calendar as well as your To Do list.
Activity type
Every Activity must have a Type
Select and Activity type by typing a few letters of the Activity that you want in the Activity box.
Subject
Ad a subject for your Activity
Comments
Add a Comment to your Activity - Activity Comments are displayed on on the Vendor Activity report
Listing
Link to a Listing -
If the Activity is about a Listing in your database, start typing in the first few letters of the Listing the Listing box.
This is a lookup of your Listings database, just enter a few letters of the listing Address, Name or Listing ID and the listing should appear.
If you are creating an Activity on the Listing screen the listing will be automatically connected to the Activity
Contact
Link to a person in your database. You can link your Activity to a Person in your database. This means that you will see this Activity on their Activity tab. Do this by typing in the first few letters of their Name into the Contact box.
You can Find a Contact by using, part of their Name, Phone number or Email address.
If you are creating an Activity on the Contact details screen the Activity will automatically be attached to the current Contact.
Confidential
Activity Confidential field - This box can only be viewed by the user that created the Activity.
The Activity Confidential field CANNOT be viewed by any other agent in your company.
Assign to
Who are you creating this task for? It will default to you but you can assign to another Agent in the office.
Email Agent
Use this option to to send an email notification of the Activity to the Listing Agent.
Completed
When you have completed an Activity mark as Completed
Save & New
When you select this checkbox your Activity will be saved and another Activity created.
Select the Schedule next Activity check-box and click on the Save button to save the current Activity and to immediately create a new Activity with all of the same details.
This saves you having to select the Activity type, select the Contact or Listing information again.
All you need to do is enter the new date.
Example
You might use Schedule next Activity option when you have spoken to a client and they have asked you to ring back in 2 weeks or you have completed an Anniversary activity and want to create another anniversary activity
